Michael Zomber possesses an eclectic array of endeavors and accolades. For one, he strive to protect and preserve history through the care, collection, and sale of antique arms that include Japanese samurai swords. He has been collecting antique armor and arms for over 40 years. Also, he previously owned weapons that belonged to prominent figures, such as Simone Bolivar and George Washington. He is also recognized internationally as an authority on Japanese samurai swords.

In his website, Zomber has a mission to work with others who are passionate in safeguarding history as much as he is. His website is an open window into the activities, heart, and mind of people with unique credentials. And in addition to being a collector and dealer of such treasures, he is an author, filmmaker, and philanthropist. As a matter of fact, all his areas of expertise and interest are on his site for anyone to enjoy and share. He even shared his expertise to America as a guest historian on various series of the History Channel’s Tales of the Gun, including Guns of the Orient, Shotguns, Dueling Pistols, Automatic Pistols, Guns of the Famous, and Million Dollar Guns.

And his credits don’t stop there- he is a storyteller at heart. He has writing credits that include over 12 screenplays, a non-fiction project, and a plethora of historical novels. His non-fiction work is called Jesus and the Samurai which is currently in print. His historical novels are also in print, and they include Shogun Iemitsu, and Sweet Betsy That’s Me: A Child of the Civil War. Zomber also wrote a television series for Shogun Iemitsu.

His wife, Andrea, has been a great supporter and encouragement for him in which she help produced his critically acclaimed documentary film called Soul of the Samurai by Renascent Films LLC., their proprietary company. She also encouraged him to start writing screenplays, and because of her, the basis of several novels were formed from the screenplays.

And with philanthropy, it runs deeply because he, as a historian, knows too well the horrors and resulting futility of armed conflict. Therefore, he is a frequent supporter of NGOs in their mission for fostering peace, such as Doctors Without Borders, Global Exchange, Amnesty International, and UNICEF.

Other than that, Zomber and his wife lives outside of Philadelphia with their two children, Christopher and Gabriella. He graduated cum laude in his BS degree in English and psychology at the University of Illinois. Also, he earned his master’s degree from UCLA in English Literature.
